Expand Our Impact

‘We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.’ -T. S. Eliot

It is a strange feeling to be docking back in Ushuaia. 12 days ago we came together from across the globe without knowing where this journey would take us. Now we return to this Southern outpost rich with experience, knowledge and new friends. There is a weight of nostalgia within the team as we embrace people with farewell hugs- each of us falling back into our own stories.
Readjusting back into the fast paced world of internet and traffic can sometimes be a culture shock. After being immersed within such a pristine wilderness, the first sights of poverty, rubbish, stray dogs, and bustling shopping centers can leave a sour taste in one’s mouth.
However, one of the major takeaways from this expedition is to focus on bringing more sustainability into every aspect of our lives. Having an environmentally conscious attitude should be regarded as value that can be cultivated within our character, rather than something that can be brought into our life when convenient.
Whether it be a business meeting, an afternoon hike, or simply buying food- we can all bring more awareness to our everyday actions, no matter the scale or circumstance.
Walking past the trees we planted before setting sail from Ushuaia was a gentle reminder. I am feeling very inspired to dedicate myself to the ClimateForce challenge over these coming years. Through collaboration and partnerships we can expand our impact on a scale we can only imagine. Together we can drive solutions and tangibly curb our CO2 footprint.
Thank you to everyone who made these past two weeks possible. Get home safe! So much more to come…
